As the Dispatch Specialist, you will be responsible for direct, effective and friendly communication with our drivers, and communicating issues both internally and externally. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Facilitate professional communication with our drivers over the phone and On-Board Computer System (OBCS)
• Perform essential AS-400 functions to maintain our computer systems
• Communicate issues with our internal and external customers
• Complete thorough documentation of all issues involving drivers and loads
• Perform regular, thorough fleet scans to proactively catch and correct issues
• Ensure a high level of on-time service is maintainedWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Knowledge of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and U.S. and Canadian geography
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AS-400
  • The ability to type 25 words per minuteIt'd be great if you also have:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Transportation and call center/customer service experience
    • Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
    • The motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to work collaboratively and get along with diverse personalities
