Kerry is a dynamic, fast growing food manufacturer and is currently searching for reliable, team-oriented Machine Operators - Evaporator Operators, Separator Operators, Extractor Operators,--Residue--Operators, Packing--Operators and Back Processing Operators--to join their team.--* *Great temp-to-hire opportunity with an excellent company!* *Shift & Compensation* * 12-hour shifts rotating 3 on and 4 off then the next week 4 workdays with 3 off * *Days--*- 7am to 7pm - pay - $14/hr * *Nights--*---7pm to 7am - pay -$16/hr *Primary Responsibilities:* *As Operators your work is key to ensuring continuous operations by meeting production needs by the following ways:* * *Operating machines in food manufacturing facility which could require repetitive lifting throughout the shift of lifting to 50 lbs.* * Applying your attention to detail while monitoring the processes of the machine * Must be able to operate in accordance with the SOP's and the operating manual to ensure that a high-quality product is manufactured * Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines - follow all regulations and procedures as specified by the USDA, FDA, DEQ, and Ariake. Examples of the policies include, employee handbook, HACCP, SSOP, GMP and Master Cleaning Schedule * Utilizing your ability to follow the directions of our strict operating procedures for each area you are assigned * Being a team player by assisting other areas as requested and perform tasks requested to promote teamwork and makes processing run more efficiently * Keeping work area clean and free of debris - discard rubber bands found on the floor, empty trash receptacles and clean the floors * Ability to lift to 50 lbs. when needed at times can be repetitive *Evaporator Operator* The Evaporator Operator will operate the evaporators as detailed in the operations manual. Pack the products and keep the packing utensils clean and sanitized. Critical to prevent contamination. Collect samples of all products packed and take to the lab. Perform chemical wash on the assigned equipment routinely, foam all tanks, lines and equipment every day or as needed. Wash, by hand, the mixing tanks as specified by customer demands. Also need to complete assigned paperwork, perform basic preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment with ability to lift to 50 lbs. Strong command of English language - oral and written. Two years production experience and good organizational skills. *Extractor Operator* Operate evaporators as detailed in the operations manual, pack the products and keep the packing utensils clean and sanitized which is critical to prevent contamination. Collect samples of all products packed and take them to the lab, maintain the floors around the evaporators and mixing mezzanine. Wrap and strap the spacecrafts after packing is complete. Perform chemical wash on assigned equipment when scheduled and foam all tanks, lines and equipment every day while also washing by hand the mixing tanks as specified.--Strong command of English language - oral and written. Two years production experience and good organizational skills. *Residue Operator* The Residue Operator will maintain the residue area with the SOP and the equipment manual to manufacture the highest quality product possible. Must be able to keep the residue and screw press areas clean, clean the pit at the rotor screen daily and the outside drain, operate the mezzanine during feeding and rinse down the conveyor after the last extractor and perform bi-weekly trend save on the centum computer. Keep the control room clean and organized as well as empty area trash receptacles daily. Strong command of the English language both written and spoken as well as have strong verbal, written and organizational skills. *Packaging Operators--* The Packaging Operator will ensure all finished product is packed, organized, labeled, wrapped, strapped and recorded correctly. Must have the ability to read recipes, flowsheets and paperwork as well as communicate any issues or errors in English. Good Organizational skills and Forklift License *Back Processing Operator* To operate lee kettle, mixing tanks and all other back processing equipment in accordance with operating manual. Pack the Product as specified by the flow sheet, operate the Comitrol as needed, maintain the floors and mezzanine in the canning room and check and fill hairnet and ear plug dispensers daily.
