Position Summary:Shenandoah Growers (SGI) is now hiring aSr. Corporate Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, tracking, screening, reporting and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). This role is also responsible for managing, optimizing the work of, and developing SGI's Corporate Recruiter and the Recruiter-Jefferson, GA. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.Essential Job Functions:Models SGI core values, commitment to food and physical safety, the celebration of diversity, and a culture of inclusiveness.Coaches, motivates and develops staff, focusing on teammate retention and succession planning.Conducts 90-day and annual performance evaluations and provides ongoing feedback and encouragement.Addresses and documents staff safety, performance, attendance, and/or attitude issues appropriately and in accordance with SGI protocols.Sets clear performance expectations for team members and communicates how performance goals are linked to organizational goals and values.Ensures HR Recruitment Team is highly responsive to the needs of supervisors/managers/executives and that they receive timely assistance on recruitment planning, applicant tracking, and recruiting activity.Partners with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to ensure all new hire paperwork and Paylocity onboarding processing handled by local site managers/Office Coordinators are accurate and consistently processed within required timeframes.Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.Ensures all positions to be recruited to have a complete and properly authorized Hiring Requisition, current job description exists or has been updated appropriately, and have been posted on SGI’s Weekly Internal Jobs Postings List. Also verifies that Posting Lists are posted at every SGI location.Screens resume(s), interviews candidates (by phone, electronically, or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and prepares and delivers written employment offers.Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates and recruiting resources within the states and regions where SGI sites are located.Uses traditional recruiting resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc. as well as nontraditional resources, such as Visa guest worker programs, Immigrant Resource Centers, partnerships with resources providing eligible incarcerated and formerly incarcerated candidates, to identify, attract an adequate flow of quality candidates.Partners closely with the Director of HR, Corporate Recruiter, and Recruiter-Jefferson, GA and management to collaboratively design and implement an effective peak season recruiting strategies and partners with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to develop peak season incentives if needed to ensure staffing needs are met.Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates and oversees the SGI and That’s Tasty website online Career Centers for timely postings updates and ongoing resource optimization.Manages the internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals and an optimal candidate/new hire experience companywide.Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements.)Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).Manages application/resume file and retention according to Company policy.Actively promotes teamwork, teammate satisfaction, open communication, cooperation, personal development, high standards of performance, and a sense of urgency.Works closely with Director of HR to align and prioritize SGI recruitment programs with corporate, departmental, and cultural objectives.Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters and conducts, and ensures a satisfactory outcome from, an annual audit of electronic personnel files.Annually reviews and makes recommendations to CHRO for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters, and communicates changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.Partners closely with Payroll & Benefits Manager, Corporate Training Manager, and Workplace Health & Safety Manager to ensure fluid bi-directional team communication, successful collaboration, and an optimal teammate experience companywide.Maintains a sense of urgency, but remains calm when handling emergencies and very high priority activities.Maintains knowledge of recruiting industry trends and applicable employment legislation and ensures the organization’s compliance.Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.Participates on committees and special projects and pro-actively seeks additional responsibilities.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience3+ Years of corporate recruiting3-5 Years of typical office equipment1+ Year of Supervisory experienceTalent acquisition or HR certification within 24 monthsStrong analytical thinker with problem-solving skillsBilingual, English & SpanishProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365 programsValid Drivers License and satisfactory driving recordHighly organized and detailed orientedTravel 25% requiredKnows how to manage overlapping projects and keep track of deadlinesEffective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate the ability to lead and motivate peopleAbility to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels of the organizationBasic math SGI utilizes E-Verify and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
