- Implement, enforce, and follow all Cargill Safety Programs
required by the Environmental Health and Safety Department.
- Enforce and follow a strict biosecurity policy.
- Enforce and follow a strict Animal Welfare policy.
- Have good communication skills and works well with others.
- Management of flock while in brood, grow and dark out, all farm
operations and maintenance.
- Responsible for leading hourly personnel and working with them
daily managing the flock.
- Rearing Farm Lead makes sure that the farm is clean and
disinfected and maintains proper housekeeping at all times.
- Assist the Flock Supervisor and Senior Rearing Farm Lead
controlling costs and maximizing employee performance.
- Fill in vacancies for absentees, tardiness, and vacations of
hourly employees.
- Monitoring flock health and keeping records on flock
performance is required.
- Business will be conducted in accordance with all Cargill
policies and any local, state, and federal laws.
- Perform any additional job duties assigned by the Breeder
Manager or Breeder Flock Supervisor.
- Required to attend meetings that may be held off-site that are
financial, safety, animal welfare, and HR related in nature.
Employee must provide own personal and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa
sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong written and oral communication and English
proficiency
- Demonstrated willingness to be a self-starter
- Computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including rotating
weekends, and live on the farm (house provided) Preferred
Qualifications
- 6 months leadership experience Considered candidates will
receive a phone call from a (952) area code. Please note that this
position does not include relocation reimbursement. Cargill highly
