Job Description Staff Today is seeking a local contract Physical Therapy Assistant for a local contract job in Beaumont, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant - Discipline: Therapy - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work at a Correctional Facility in Beaumont, Virginia. These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $29 / hour *W2 Job Details: - M-F 8-430 Requirements: - At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant - A valid and current Physical Therapist Assistant license issued by the State of Virginia - A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association) Job Responsibilities: - Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients as they practice exercises or functional activities. - Document patient information, such as notes on their progress. - Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress and provide results to physical therapist in person or through progress notes. - Instruct patients in proper body mechanics and in ways to improve functional mobility, such as aquatic exercise. - Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
