General Information James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for a 10-month, full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (commensurate with experience) starting August 25, 2019 in the School of Nursing, which offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Masters, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs. The School of Nursing currently has a tenure track position available working in both the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and Master of Science in Nursing Program. For more information, visit *************************** Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities for the position include theory, classroom, and practicum at the MSN and DNP program levels; professional, school, and university service and scholarship are additional expectations. Qualifications Qualifications for this position include the following: Doctorate, either PhD or DNP, along with Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP or AGNP) and three or more years of clinical practice experience required. Experience in a higher education faculty role and instructing at the DNP program level strongly preferred. Other requirements include RN registration and eligibility for Virginia license.
