registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Deliver specialized care as
a Registered Nurse in a dynamic progressive care/stepdown unit.
This contract role is designed for experienced RNs proficient in
cardiac and multi-system patient management, ready to work 48-hour
shifts on night schedule. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile
radius to qualify. Key Responsibilities: Perform thorough patient
assessments and develop tailored care plans. Administer medications
safely and manage cardiac drips including pressors. Provide care
for patients requiring BiPAP, insulin drips, bedside cardiac
monitoring, and stable tracheostomies. Serve as a key coordinator
between patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Respond
confidently and efficiently to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Educate and support patients and families during complex illness
trajectories. Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards
and hospital policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Registered Nurse license valid in the state or under compact
regulations. Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke
Scale certification. Proficiency in lab draws and IV starts
required. Minimum 1 year of RN experience; at least 6 months in an
acute care setting preferred. Experience with cardiac and critical
care nursing clinical practice preferred. Able to pass an EKG exam
during orientation. Schedule: Four 12-hour night shifts per week.
Every other weekend and major holiday required. Location
