Job Description Job Description Salary: $60/HR to $70/HR Chandler Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Overnight Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Counselors to provide immediate, community-based behavioral health interventions during overnight hours. This role is critical in ensuring individuals experiencing mental health crises receive timely, professional, and person-centered support when it is needed most. Position Overview The Overnight MCR Counselor responds to crisis calls in the community, conducts on-site assessments, provides stabilization and de-escalation, and coordinates appropriate referrals and follow-up services. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities Respond to mental health crisis calls during overnight hours in community-based settings Conduct crisis assessments, risk evaluations, and safety planning Provide immediate stabilization and de-escalation interventions Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, emergency services, and community partners Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with state and agency standards Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards at all times Overnight Schedule Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM Weekday and weekend availability On-call and PRN opportunities available Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field Must meet Virginia DBHDS requirements for Mobile Crisis Response staff Previous crisis intervention or behavioral health experience strongly preferred Valid drivers license with reliable transportation Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Prior Mobile Crisis Response experience Active QMHP-A, QMHP-C, or equivalent credential Why Join Chandler Behavioral Health Meaningful overnight work supporting individuals in crisis Supportive leadership and clinical oversight Competitive pay based on experience and credentials Flexible scheduling options Opportunity to make a direct impact in the community
