With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.SummaryAssists the nurse(s) by carrying out tasks not requiring licensure; enhance patient flow through Healthworks office by delivering quality care and support under Wellness Center Supervisor or charge Nurse s directions.Temporary Position.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms clerical tasks, e.g., filing, telephone answering, scheduling of doctor s visits and referrals. Enters data into Occupational Health Management system. Prepares reports needed by nursing staff. Establishes and maintains medical records and prepares patients for treatment by physicians, nurse practitioners, and/or nurses.Schedules and follows up on test results, procedures, referrals, etc. to ensure appropriate health care.Providesfirst aid and medical care as directed by RN or Standing order.Minimum Education & Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years work experience.Requires good computer skills.All healthcare staff must adhere to the company immunization policy; provide proof of training, certifications and/or license.Experience PreferredMedical office experience and knowledge of medical credentials or licensing required for terminology.Medical assistant experience or medical assistant training.Certification in field is a plus.Phlebotomy certification a plus.Bilingual a plus.Ability to make decisions based upon established guidelines and office practices. Anything other than first-aid will need direction from RN or LPN.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsMust be able to see, touch, smell & record findings in writing or electronically.Have ability to respond as needed to medical emergencies in all areas of the complex.Majority of work in office or clinic setting, as well as inter-facility & external environmental conditions (e.g. noise levels, changes in temperature, humidity, etc.Must have ability to move throughout the processing plant & surrounding environments of the off-site facilities, such as feedmills, hatcheries, etcMust wear PPE as required.Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
