SUMMARY: The Plant Manager is responsible for all functional areas of a poultry processing plant including the efficient operation of production shifts, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality and process improvement. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Direct production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.Maintain plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.Prepare and submit operating reports to leadership to inform them of the current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality product.Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operation.Ensure compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.Set production and processing goals for plant. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE RequiredBachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience10 years of applicable experience in the poultry industry Working knowledge of computer programs used in the operation of the production plant like Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
