James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA is
seeking a Director of On-Campus Recruiting, Football to work within
a highly competitive program. This is a full-time position with a
comprehensive benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and manage all on-campus official and unofficial
recruiting visits, including game day visits by prospective
- Coordinates recruiting correspondence with prospective
student-athletes, high school coaches, junior college coaches and
other appropriate entities/parties.
- Assist with the admissions, onboarding process, move-in of
signed prospective athletes and coordinate the collection and
database management of transcripts for all possible prospective
- Cultivate, lead, and manage student workers for the recruiting
- Foster and maintain positive relationships and work
collaboratively with University and Athletics staff, students,
prospective student-athletes and their guests/families and all
constituents and stakeholders.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of and adhere to all applicable
NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
- Maintain compliance logs related to prospective student-athlete
unofficial & official visits.
- Work with coaches to get admissions applications returned and
NCAA Eligibility Center certification completed in a timely
- Assist with other duties/projects as assigned/directed by the
Head Coach, Senior Director, Football Operations, Director of
Player Personnel, and Recruiting Coordinator
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I FBS and/or FCS College
Football Recruiting Rules & Regulations
NCAA Division I Football recruiting, coaching or Playing
- One or two years of working in NCAA Division 1 FBS and/or FCS
College Football Recruiting as a Graduate Assistant or Full-Time

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains information
regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such
as: crime prevention, the university police law enforcement
authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures,
protocols for the immediate notification of students and staff upon
confirmation of a significant emergency on campus and other matters
of importance related to security and safety. The report includes
statistics for the most recent three-year period of reported crimes
that have occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or
