General Information
James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA is seeking a Director of On-Campus Recruiting, Football to work within a highly competitive program. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.




Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Coordinate and manage all on-campus official and unofficial recruiting visits, including game day visits by prospective student-athletes
  • Coordinates recruiting correspondence with prospective student-athletes, high school coaches, junior college coaches and other appropriate entities/parties.
  • Assist with the admissions, onboarding process, move-in of signed prospective athletes and coordinate the collection and database management of transcripts for all possible prospective student athletes.
  • Cultivate, lead, and manage student workers for the recruiting department
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships and work collaboratively with University and Athletics staff, students, prospective student-athletes and their guests/families and all constituents and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of and adhere to all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
  • Maintain compliance logs related to prospective student-athlete unofficial & official visits.
  • Work with coaches to get admissions applications returned and NCAA Eligibility Center certification completed in a timely manner
  • Assist with other duties/projects as assigned/directed by the Head Coach, Senior Director, Football Operations, Director of Player Personnel, and Recruiting Coordinator





    Qualifications
    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Working knowledge of NCAA Division I FBS and/or FCS College Football Recruiting Rules & Regulations

    • NCAA Division I Football recruiting, coaching or Playing experience



      Preferred:
      • One or two years of working in NCAA Division 1 FBS and/or FCS College Football Recruiting as a Graduate Assistant or Full-Time Role

        The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, the university police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, protocols for the immediate notification of students and staff upon confirmation of a significant emergency on campus and other matters of importance related to security and safety. The report includes statistics for the most recent three-year period of reported crimes that have occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by JMU or its affiliates; and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

        The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes campus housing fire statistics for the most recent three-year period, a description of each on-campus student housing facility fire safety system, the number of fire drills held during the previous calendar year, policies or rules on portable electrical appliances, smoking, and open flames in student housing; and procedures for student housing evacuation in the event of fire along with other fire safety information.
