Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: Plans and manages all Company service and
installation operations within service center. Provides leadership
to create an environment that promotes teamwork, continuous
improvement, learning, customer satisfaction and high standards of
service. Utilizes human resources effectively to increase business,
manage workload and job costs, achieve production and margin
objectives and provide quality services to customers and
contractors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and develops the Installation and Service team,
including recruiting, interviewing, scheduling employees, setting
work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees,
evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure
effective production.
- Evaluates workload and schedules installation & service work in
a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Interfaces with home owners, building inspectors and project
managers to identify installation needs and maintain good customer
relations.---
- Drives to job sites to monitor production and efficiency of
technicians and monitor quality control.---
- Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer
satisfaction.
- Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed
for scheduled jobs.
- Schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job
completion.
- Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as
well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles.
- Instructs crews on proper use of materials and quality
workmanship.
- Review timesheets to ensure employees time is accurate and they
are paid properly.
- Conduct job site and vehicle inspections.
- Ensures that employees have proper tools for the job and that
they are properly maintained.
- Assists the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate Install
crew selection for type of system.
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, laptops, Microsoft Word,
Excel, Outlook with the ability to learn new service software such
as XOi and Service Titan.
- Utilize using Key Performance and Financial Metrics to manage
the business and coach field technicians. Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of successful management and technical
experience in a related HVAC company.
- Highly motivated to get things done the right away.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and active
listening skills.
- Highly confident, skilled leader who is persuasive with a
selling personality.
- Must enjoy being constantly challenged to grow and improve
operationally.
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, laptops, Microsoft Word,
Excel, Outlook with the ability to learn new service software.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Must feel comfortable using Key Performance and Financial
Metrics to manage the business and excel as a leader.
- Demonstrated success at building a team of technicians who do
quality work. Able and willing to connect with the community to
identify new opportunities and recruit new talent
