Where You'll WorkOur Harrisonburg, VA, location is part of our Taste division and creates a variety of stock broth, soups, and bases. *****RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED***** What You'll DoThe Production Manager is fundamental to our team. You'll be overseeing be overseeing operations at the food manufacturing site and you will have 3 direct reports at a plant with 150 total employees and 5 lines, across all shifts and report to the Plant Manager.
On a high level, you'll:

• Manage, supervise and oversee all aspects of operations at the site and provide leadership and direction as necessary to sustain company growth, establish procedures for maintaining high standards, product quality, reliability and safety. He/she will promote quality improvement efforts and evaluate and develop improved techniques while maintaining an exemplary safety record.
• Directly responsible for the day-to-day plant operations and achievement of the Business Plan Objectives with focus on safety and product quality.
• Identify and satisfy customers' needs consistently and proactively with the goal of on-time deliveries all the time.
• Responsible for adherence to Quality Management Systems, while incorporating the Total Quality Management Philosophy.
• Maximizes peak performance by fostering a cohesive working environment by stressing the team approach. Ensures the continued development of the location's personnel so as to ensure that each individual reaches his/her full potential within his/her existing position and beyond in conformance with the Corporate Succession and Manpower Plan.
  What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study
  • 5 + years of Management experience such as: Production Manager and/or Production Superintendent
  • 5+ years of experience within meat processing or stocks and broths.
  • Demonstrated success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs and adhere to budgets.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and application skills such as SAP, MAPICS, LIMS, etc
