Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Military
Institute (VMI) seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track
faculty member. Preference is at the assistant professor level but
qualified applicants at the associate professor level will be
considered. In order to be considered for this position, a
candidate must have a doctoral degree in electrical engineering or
related discipline, and must have a strong dedication to
undergraduate education. The department is seeking a candidate to
teach existing courses in fundamental areas of electrical
engineering and to create upper-division electives of relevance to
the students and the profession. The department will consider all
qualified candidates; however, preference will be given to
candidates who can enhance the departmental electrical engineering
capabilities in areas such as, but not limited to, high-frequency
engineering and power engineering. The appointment will begin
August 1, 2025. VMI is a public, four-year undergraduate military
college (1,700 students) located in the historic Shenandoah Valley
of Virginia. Lexington, (population 7,000) also the home to
