Effectiveness and Workforce Development Clinical Coordinator is
responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing, Staffing
Effectiveness and Workforce Development with daily responsibilities
and duties essential to the maintenance of system-wide staffing
resources, teams, and initiatives. The Clinical Coordinator is
accountable to work with the leadership team to achieve
performance, safety, and quality goals. Frequent communication with
leadership and staff is expected and essential to success in this
role.Clinical Coordinator duties include: Support and development
of system-wide crisis staffing resources Support and development of
nursing pipeline strategies, initiatives, and resources Support and
development of workforce development strategies and initiatives
Frequent and timely communication with leaders and staff
Professional development and clinical education support for the
caregivers within the Clinical Coordinators span of control Staff
performance and quality assurance including collecting and
analyzing performance data, providing staff feedback, goal setting,
and support of ongoing performance evaluation processes as
appropriate Coordinating, leading, and documenting staff events
including: staff meetings, team building events, workgroups, and
unit specific council/committee meetings Participating in, and
contributing to, annual staff performance evaluations as
appropriate Electronic scheduling Direct patient care and staff
support in clinical environments as needed Other duties as
assignedWhat You Will Bring:EducationGraduate of an accredited BSN
program required or obtained within 6 months of hireExperienceFour
years of staff nurse experience with progressive clinical
management skills preferredCertification & LicensuresLicensed or
eligible for RN licensure in Commonwealth of Virginia
requiredLicensed or eligible for RN licensure in West Virginia
requiredBLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart
Healthcare Provider (HCP) - AHA approved required** New hires must
have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification
prior to completion of orientation.QualificationsDemonstrated
leadership skillsDemonstrated track record in building programs,
staff and physician relationships, productivity and process
improvement programs, and database managementDemonstrated verbal
and written communication skills and well developed interpersonal
skillsAbility to be creative, innovative and flexible in responding
to changing needs/prioritiesDemonstrated ability to be
self-motivated and successful in independent workCommitment to
