Job Description:

SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking a Sr IT Systems Analyst for a contract position in Richmond, VA. The Senior IT Systems Analyst will provide technical support to financial applications within the Enterprise Business Technology Solutions (eBTS) department. These critical applications include but are not limited to the support of the following internal functions:

• Financial Close and Financial Reporting

• Travel Expense Management

• Audit and Compliance

A successful candidate will demonstrate in depth knowledge of specific, advanced technology to provide solutions to meet business needs.

They must be flexible and easily adapt to multiple different work assignment types/projects based on business needs.

The Senior IT Systems Analyst must manage daily RTS activities, issue resolution and communication within teams and business functional areas.

The Senior IT Systems Analyst must build strong relationships with internal Finance customers, continuously strive to improve efficiency and maintain a focus on IT controllership.

He or she must work closely with business users and other stakeholders to ensure their requirements and SLA's are captured and maintained.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s Degree from 4-Year Institution or Equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience working in the IT industry

• 3+ years? experience providing technical leadership

• Expertise in application server administration, Scripting and Application Programming,

• Ability to recognize which technologies are best suited for solving different types of business problems.

• Understands data and database concepts and query languages – with solid understanding of T-SQL and PL/SQL.

• Ability to manage, identify and communicate risk, issues and opportunities

• Understands basic information security concepts (i.e. security threats, vulnerabilities, and various security levels).

• Ability to work with Vendor and 3rd party products.

• Ability to administer enterprise level applications that has direct impact to organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Application development

• Understanding of Finance functions

• Proficiency in ASP.NET/C#, IIS

• Understanding of basic network concepts and the components of a network, with a basic knowledge in Internet protocols

• Understanding of basic application design concepts: scripting, programming languages, deployment, and the software development lifecycle.
